My Xy gt replica and Xw falcon.

Hi guys heres my xw and xy me and my dad are building.
Xy specs:
1971 xy futura (rare)
Diff: 9 inch lsd
Intirior: Factory black GT dash etc.
Colour: Was factory wild violet now track red paints rad rodded with gt stripes.
Wheels: 12 slotters.
Engine/Box: Was 351 t bar auto now nothing brought as a shell.
Suspencion: Pedders shocks Lovels springs and over sized sway bar.
Build period: 1 week
Cost: $2750
The plan was to do the pair up but now were just going to finish the xw its 99% done. So were selling the xy and throwing the gt dash and 9 inch in the xw.



Rear window is in now.





The xw specs:
1970 xw falcon 500
Engine: 250ci 6 cylinder runs.
Gear box: Coloum auto.
Diff: Standard getting the 9 inch soon
Intiror: Had blue intirior with bench now has gt reclining buckets new carpet all inside done black.
Paint: Getting done the factory colour Gt diamond white in undercote atm.
Wheels: Gt bathurst globes.
Mods: Venition gt driveing lights lock downs gt dash soon 9 inch over riders gt badges gt glove box pads gt over flow bottle gt petrol cap gt seats gt bathurst globes Tonnes of other gt parts cant think of them atm.
Build period: 1/5 years.
Cost so far about $3000

Yeah but who wants a povo look falcon 500 the gt is the dream car. we gave 4 atm but the statesman getting scraped soon.

Most of them got stolen striped rebirthed or rusted right out and scraped now there the most popular falcon out and 1 sold for 1 million dollars at auctions i have all ways wanted one im selling the red one $5000 without diff and dash comes with standard dash and diff awsome project

$1 million you say? It was actually $750k in 2007.

It is yes. But the most expensive Australian car is a 1 off HRT 427 Monaro, which was I think a little over $900k.

Honestly, you're going to wreck a good car by doing it as a GT mock up. I don't understand why every man and his dog that gets there hands on an XW-Y Ford has to do it as a GT mock up. The XW-Y Falcon shape is a nice one that can look really neat when done tastefully, they don't need to be mock ups IMO.

True but i have allways wanted a xw/xy gt and i dont have the money so a mock up is good enough you can make it identical and the only difference will be jg23 to jg33 on the tag. Im putting the 9 inch out of the xy into the xw aswell as the dash and sell the xy i dont need 2 of them.

Back in 2003 I had the opportunity to purchase a Grecian Gold XW GT, all matching numbers, for $16k.

my uncle sold his XC GT coupe for like 23k in 2003ish, if he had held it for a few more years would have been more like 60K

They never made a xc gt coupe only cobra. in the 80s my dad sold a regoed green xb gt coupe for 7k and a orange xb gt coupe for 4k with rego. He wished he still had them who was to know.
