    Default door strips

ok, been comtemplating this for a while now, i hate the grey strips around my doors, and was thinking about buying berlina ones (chrome) to put on it, but that involves removing the cargo area windows. then i thought, hey, its just paint, and theyre made from alloy, so, off i went with some sand paper and wet n dry. i tell ya, that paints thick, better than the single layer of body paint.

heres a few quick shots of about 15 minutes work. its gonna take longer than that to finish though.

Default i am gonna do that too

The person that owned my car before me has painted mine matt black, just with a paint brush
    looks crappy, cheap and nasty
I might have a go and see if mine come up good too
I think why they did it, is cause the rest of the trims are black also.
having chrome strips with black trims around the rest of the doors wouldn't look sappy would it?

That was 15 minutes worth :my:
gees, i might have to take a few days off work haha

I've got a 1990 berlina wagon and mine doesn't have the chrome trim, doesn't make it go any better. Good on ya for trying something different, I have seen some of ur mod's.

i found out they came out on vp onwards and they were thin strips of chrome.

anyway, i got slack and didnt finish mine. but, i found out that paint stripper is a quicker and nicer way to get rid of the paint, if you can take them off the car. which i will be doing for new wagon.

you dont need chrome strips to make yours go better, you got a v8.
