hey guys, saw HQ & then the word PABELVAN, so i thought that i should have a look. apon reading a 5L fuel injected in one, i thort heck hadnt i seen one of those before, so i had a look on www.cardomain.com and i found it...
this one is a HX tho, but should still be a similar, if not exact, engine bay. hope it helps, link below

You would have to change the sump and oilpickup to a HQ-Z one (bump is in a different spot)
You would need to use HQ-Z V8 engine mounts.
Depending on Gearbox you would need to change the crossmember to suit
You may need to change the waterpump.
you will need to find suitable mounting locations for all sensors and wiring
you will need to install an EFI fuel pump and high pressure lines
you will need a return line to the fuel tank
you may need a surge tank or swirl pot.
if your running a complete VN type motor (not just the topend on an old block) you will need to comply with VN emmisions, including running cats

Theres a few other things you need to do, I am doing a similar conversion to my HX Sandman, its slow going, but its getting there.

i think hz_van summed it up. i've got a 304 in my hz pano and thats what i had to change in it... except for the water pump i didn't change it. and i used a VL fuel pump for it aswell... goes hard but didn't sound as good as my worked 253..lol i'll put some pics up if you want cause i'm getting it painted and ive stripped the whole front off.
