New Paint Job for VN

Hey all, iv just brought a VN BT-1. it was going to be my every day car that had power but now i have decided to make it as my project car.

my 1st step is to strip it and get it to a naked shell, OInce that has been done im getting it a new paint Job, but i dont know what colour i should do it, i was thinkin a yellow the BT-1 yellow, with standed front and rear bars. But there might be something better and thats what i wont to try and find out. I still wont the standed look, like the front and rear bars and they r painted black (will be) so im after a colour that woulds look good with black bars.

I have decided to go with out a bodykit and rear wing.

so any idea or pics of a car that is close to what im lookin for would be great help to my new project car.

ive seen a VN thats the kinda the colour of a cherry ripe wrapper but more metallic with black bumpers which didnt look too bad....could go silver over grey or VT tiger mica over grey

how about a green colour. not dark or anything something like a fluro colour but not fluro

yer maybe, id have to see a pic of it 1st to see what it looks like, but yer it does sound alright, like u said provided the green is not too dark and not to fluro

flouro greene doesnt suit a commy some dude from where i live has a flouro green vr and it look pretty shit... i still rekon candy apple red or something liek that with the black bumpers would look alright

lol, nah, I like the idea of candy apple red. I've seen it on a torana with all the blackouts and it looked friggen awesome! I'm sure it'll look just as good on a commie!

Oh, and Foam.....Please tell me your not serious bout the sky blue thing......

What sort of blue is that? Light? Dark? Metallic? I've heard of it, but I can't picture exactly what it looks like....

Oh man, dont spend money on a paint job and leave the bumpers black....... Body colour bumpers look soooo much cleaner.

nar i had a vn that was green and it done the bars black and it made it look really neat, not a gloss black but a matt black

well iv changed my mind, i seen a pic of a VN with an areo Kit on it with out the rear wing painted in the hot house green, looked magic, so from seeing that pic thats what im going with, so im on the hunt for a complete VN areo Kit.

lol i sure hope it will look good, so now im "Trying" to save for this to happen lol, not easy when a 355 strocker is getting built for it at the same time. but it will get there sooner or later

mmmm my favorite kit. Any idea what they roughly charge to repaint a whole car? Do you need to strip it down yourself or can you get them to do it?

hey 1vngal, lol colour has changed, why?? coz iv just brought a blue VN 5 Litre 5 Speed and now its gunna be pained in the colbolt blue. still gunna try and get the aero kit for it though.

thats got my v6 at calder and the 5 Litre under construction. (Engine Rebuild) then it will be the paint job, but seein this colour candy blue and haven been told about it, im thinkin twice about the colbolt blue, lol really i dunno, i just want a nice looking blue in the end
