My VN 5 Litre

Here are some pics of my 5 Litre when i got it and after a set of wheels where added to her





the engine b4 it got rebuilt. (lifters went in it)




Now here is the Engine in the Progress of a Rebuilt, (with work beein done to it)

Just got home from seeing the guy thats building my motor and he said he will be getting the rest of the parts this commin monday or tuesday, so im happy to hear that, (as u would be)

today i just brought some little things for it,

They are:
1, Derstribitor Cap
2, Rotor Button
3, Top Gun Lead 8.8mm
4, Cheap Running-in Oil and better Oil one iv drop the other stuff.

Extra's that i walked out with:
1, VT Black HSV Clubbie engine Covers

2, Moster Taco 4 in 1


3, Billit Products Shortend Gear Shifter.


when i get a chance ill take pic's of the things iv got for the beast, pics wont be that flash as i have to use my phone to take them. (havent got my digie cam bac yet )

Thanx bro,

The Red felix tube is running from the little air vent on the right hans side of front bar, and comes up though the body where the original air bax was witha custom circle air filter (cut out of the original filter that u get) and goes stright to the throttle body.

And as for the work being done to the engine, its gotten a full rebuild, heads done by flow craft, cam, remaped ECU, exahust system, (extractors 4 into 1, goes into 2 hi flow cats into a single 3") The T5 is getting a rebuild also and made stronger to accomerdate for the power, lightend flywheel, heavy duty clutch, iv replaced the standed diff with a 4:11 Mini Spooled diff (That will be fun)

And when i do more things to her i shall let you guy's know how its comming along.

while the engine is being built im thinkin of getting the interior re-trimed, does anyone know where a good place is for getting your interior done? im located in werribee, so somewhere close to there would be awsome, if i cant get it dont then ill stick to the orginal plan and that was to just put racing bucket seat in her.

Next Jobs/Mods iv thoguht of and going to do are, Considering that im painting the interior red and black and takin it all out iv desided to put full calais loom in the best, other then the full electirics getting put in iv got a complete VN AERO Kit on its way to be bolted up to it to giv it more of a personallity.

Well yeah, on the backroads mostly. But I did get busted for going way too fast in a small street on a bike once. That was a bit silly really, I didn't see any danger in it at the time since I had clear vision of everything infront of me, pity I was so busy looking in front that I didn't notice the highway patrol sitting on my ass though isn't it :P

it wasnt me driving, i may be young and a P Plater but m8 i do have more sence then that to do it in a suburben street, but it was the guy that had built my engine who was drivin the car at the time. And i wouldnt blame you m8, id do the exact same if a dead set pickle come down my street like that.

And as for it Breathin it has not pod "I hate them" that's how it is standard with the airbox.

Its a Standard 1990 VN Exec (Pov Pack with Power), but soon to become a Calais Mock-Up.

Thanx m8, yer it does go hard, 1st 2nd wheel spin and cherps in 3rd, but it does do a Burnout in 3rd no prob's, not this Friday but next Friday wich will be the 12th ill be seein what she runs down the 1/4 Mile and putting it in the Burnout Comp also.

ah sweet as. if you dont mind me asking, how much you spent on each part of the rebuild.

im also in the market for a 5L or any v8 commodore, prefrebly 5 speed manual that i can rebuild, i was thinking of doing the cheapo executive with the sweet 5L in it. very similar to what you doing.

so if anyone see's anything like this, cheapo 5l commodore, pm me.

iv Spent about $2500 on it atm, but there's still yet the Vortech V1 Charger comming and intercooler for it

hey all just an update, on what iv done to the car since iv got it back.

here are some pic's of me slowly but surely putting the head unit in and wireing for the subs and amps.

Also there are some pic of how im doing my interior red and black theme.

Here im putting the power Cable from the batt to the Amps.

Just wired up the Head Unit and testing it to see if it works. (it did Yesss!!!!!)
