vn v6 to v8 manual

Im sure theres a post for this somehwere but i couldnt find it... im looking to put a v8 into my vn and put a manual box behind it... can anyone tell me the pecific details of what i need, and can i stray into vr vs model gearboxes without making a difference to anything.....on another related question what the difference between the v6 manual and the v8 is it just the bell housing???

V6 manual has longer input shaft and different belhousing and diferent gear ratios. The gearboxes out of VR and VS V8 are fine you just have to make sure you get the right flywheel to suit your engine as there are a few different bolt paterns.
You will need a heap of parts to do the V6 to V8 conversion your better off trying to buy a doner car will be the cheapest and easiest way.
Different engine and gearbox crossmember, front springs, computer and wiring harness,instrument cluster,radiator, aircond bits and pieces, power steering lines, front brakes on some VN's also etc etc.
