Project HSV Enhanced VN SS

This is my SS as it is half stripped lol got big plans, keeping kit, etc stocko but with a sunroof, bit of a sound system, and what not. The motor is where most of the $$ is going... 17psi, forgies... go figure.

At the moment car has VS clubby 185i block, VN mildly worked heads, 2000kms since rebuild, rebuilt diff, genie extractors, 3 inch zorst with hi flow cat and muffler/s, all lovells suspension, bosch 044 fuel pump but no computer, needs a water pump too lol. when we hotwired it (has no ignition) it sounded so... ****ing nice even for a 5l haha. at the moment im stripping it back, cutting all the rust out, will keep posted!

Doesnt look like much now, but should be a weapon when finished.

You repainting it? If so keeping it atlas grey or going somthing different?

manual (5spd) keeping atlas grey, the only panels that really need spraying are the bonnet, boot and roof, going to get it all resprayed anyway. has a ruseted through spot under left rear quarter panel, NO rust in spare wheel well. It is going to be a weapon when finished, expect ALOT of how tos and how to NOTS haha, im planning a budget of about 50, 000 over the next few years till i finish my trade. and about 30 000 is the motor hehe, is going to be a shedmonster/weekend driver.

Reason im doing a VN is ive always loved the look of the VN SS, this one just came up at the right time and yeh, got it.

will get photos of bay, the manifold WAS polished but wasnt oiled so it oxidised, juz swapped my blower for it cuz the VP motor is bout to die =[, got it from a mate, and at my backyard in maryborough qld. The gbox is in ok cond, not as bad as the VP haha "reverse? **** whered it go?" =[ stupid V6. also, 1 dent in the WHOLE car

will do mate, so excited FINALLY having a nice project. And NO im NEVER putting an LS1, LS2 or LS7 in it, love my 304's

did a bit more today, how do i get sideskirts and rear bumper off? also the centre console electric window switchblocks, how do they come apart? and how do i get the back seat bit out? taking all those things off tommorow if i can and cutting out rust.

bit of an update

Have about 7m of braided line to do all fuel, power steering, brake, etc with
LVL3 V8 dash, trip computer switch block, VN calais front and rear seats, door trims and a few other goodies.

kinda out of $$ at the moment haha

have you got the back seat out yet?
its pretty simple there's 2 bolts along the bottom in the middle of passenger and driver side back sections of seat visible in pic undo them its a 10mm socket and lift the seat up and it comes off the hooks near the top and its out hope this help's
should be a sweet ride once done

Back seats and all that are already out, im putting in VN calais stuff. Trying not to stray too much from stock, just make it a bit more comfortable. I dunno wether to keep it off the road till its fully finished or get it roadworthy so i can drive it to get resprayed and then to get the motor done =[

rightio, finally got parcel shelf out, took off steering wheel, How do i get off the hangy things so i can get the roof lining off? other then that ive just gotta get the bloody dash out lol and the carpet, good times

holy crap im sick =[ bloody work ****ups!anyway im buying ANOTHER car :| VN calais v8 for the huge price of about $1200 depending what sort of condition its in ill just use it for parts... if its good ill get it on the road as a daily. It has a bit of work done too the motor, stage 3 shift kit and a 2800 - 3000 stallie... should be good, gonna check it out today or tommorow!
