Ive got a vs exec and have decided to make it a sleeper but not just any sleeper i bought the car about six months ago for its low km's and pantha mica black paint job wich as you no is preety much the known colour for the vs ss wich is were the sleeper starts ive mocked the car up to make it look like and ss inside and out the only thing thats different is i have de badged it and it hasnt got the ss decals on it so you cant tell just by looking at it wat it actually is, Im buying a v6 stroker kit for it and stroking it to a 4.2 ltr its sitting on black 15 interceptors all round with red wheel nuts to stay with the red and black theme and darker than legal tint wich dosent matter since it wont be a daily driver any way but so i can still atract some fords that think there gonna thrash another 5ltr if any one has any ideas or info that might help me that would be grouse i got the idea when i was driving my mates vt ss and i got beatin by a el xr6 and found out that its not unusual for xr6 to beat a 5lt
ROFLMAO im sorry but you want people to think its a slow 304 so you can kick there ass in a v6? instead of money on a v6 stroker why not work a v8. oh a 5lt vt isnt exactly quick
A 5L in the VT body is ****. There only good for motor conversions.

A stroked V6 wont beat even a stock 8.
A stock VS Super6 however, will bear a stock 5L (and will eat your mates VT)

I had a mate with a stroked V6. Besides the lumpy idle, there wasn't anything special about it.

your logic is completely retarded.
you're making it look like an SS, but its a stroked 6, which has less displacement, less torque, and is slower than a V8...
hmm...
logic ftl!
If your going to stroke it and spend all that money why not get it supercharged or something like that you will be much more happy with that sought of power but i do get where your coming from just please dont stroke it it would be the biggest waist of money.
This is what will happen, lets fast forward considerable time and effort about 5-8 grand+.
You will be at the lights, a EL XR6 will pull up and think ahhh VS SS 5 litre, I might be able to take him if it's a buggered one and the guy doesn't realise I'm racing him. Lights go green BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzz < Ford 6, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP <stroked V6 the Dude in the XR6 will be thinking man this 5 litre is pretty dud, even sound like it's only running on 6. Then you will both hear BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRR RRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and think, what the hell is that infront with laying lines and only has 3 working taillights, oh a VN 5 litre
man I wasted so much money....
. There's been heaps of people on this forum built stroked V6's and the majority of them were barely any faster than a stock V6 with plenty running 15+ 1/4 miles. Even if they do make 200kw at the engine, so does an exhaust only 5 litre but the 5 litre will be making 100nm more torque at 3000 rpm than the V6 and that's why they accelerate faster.
There are plenty of things you can do to the ecotec to make them fast(er) and they respond beautifuly to mods compared to the early V6 but its REALLY not worth spending alot of money on them if straight line performance is the goal. It's at the stage now where it's not worth spending big on the 5 litre either when LS1 are verging on being the cheaper and more legal option once everythings complete
A 5 litre worked, turboed or supercharged will destroy any six cylinder from any ford stable unless your up against a worked XR6t so dont waste any more time or thought on the whole stroked six idea, it was a nice one but you will have to invest alot more of your hard earned cash for the project where as the V8 option is, to my reckoning would be the best bet for you. Its hard to go wrong if youve got the heart of a LION under the hood![]()
dude if your after the 'sleeper look' get rid of the ss kit, when people see the ss kit they probably assume its a v8.. i know i would.
a black vs dumped on chasers, no bodykit with dark tint and a slightly worked 8 would do the trick nicely

drop a RB26det in it... Smoke v6 and 5L.

An SS Kitted V6 is the opposite of a sleeper!!
Now an 83 2.8 litre SWB Patrol with a Cammed/Headed/Piped 304 is a sleeper!! Gets them every time lmao
If I'm not pulling Toyota's out of the Bush, I'm pulling 12's in the Sig :-)
Have to agree with the majority here, the money spent in a stroker will be around the same as putting a supercharger on it and the supercharger will eat it for breakfast. The first thing I would be doing though is getting rid of the "15" interceptors and putting a nice set of "17" or even "18" alloys on it. Stuff the sleeper thing make it look tough!!!!!
If you want a 6, go for the L67 motor, do everything to that, that'd run alright

wouldn't you want it to look like a granny spec, not an ss
as "sleepers" arnt ment to look fast
going to have to agree with everyone here.. not worth stroking a v6. go for the blower option.
