186 to a 454

hello all people on here. I have a vb comadore and could i put in it a 454 big blok from a chev? It has 14" mag wheels and a good diff. Wat modifkations do i need to do to make it fit in it propaly? I can get this moter for 700$. But it needs new pisotons in it. Thanks for any help. Ben.

does that mean maching of the bores? new bearings? maybe the whole lot over hauled

i think it shouldnt be a problem ben as the vb came standard with a 327 chev i think depending on what state you live in

2.8 litre 6 cylinder brakes, suspension and diff will last about 5 mins. plus you need different trans, wiring, etc, its not just a bolt in job mate.

Try cutting two of the intake runners off and will fit just fine..lol.

I've searched all the parts catalogues and I cannot for the life of me, find any new pisotons.

seriously, depending on your state, you might be able to get it engineered.
i'm sure in QLD that it takes a few things ito consideration, vehicle mass is one.
