    Default thanks guys

A short while ago I posted asking for help because I'm stupid when it comes to writing eBay ad's. I asked for opinions you tore me apart, now I just want to thank the guys that commented, you have inspired a young Holden enthusiast to pull his finger out.

Since posting that ad I have been inspired to complete my car:
The supercharger is now off and being rebuilt.
The intercooler, blow-off valve, and piping is all being organised.
I'm sending [the ???] into the shop to have wiring and a couple minor leaks fixed.
I've removed the clutch fan and will be running twin thermos.
I'm dropping off my spare interior for a custom re-trim.
I'm fitting all new suspension bushes, and a larger brake kit.

So in the next few weeks when it's all done I'll post some pictures so those of you that pointed out all my faults can now praise what a young guy can do

I'm also changing my wheels again, from some 20 inch copy-cat thing, and I'd like to hear what you guys think. I'm thinking some 20 inch wire wheels with white walls on a VQ statesman should look good?

Any other opinions on mods for a supercharged V8 while I'm excited about working on it?

i would like to thank danja very much i am going to use it with pride .
    THANK YOU

You can send a car to the shop to have work done? Why would we praise you?

You obviously didn't take any notice of all who told you to use sentences and paragraphs. Even on here, it is very hard to read what you are trying to say.
Tell me, when you talk to someone, do you say everything you have to say in one breath or do you actually stop and breath occassionally? What I am saying here is, think about what you are about to write and write is as you would say it in a conversation. If you write well, people will be more likely to read it and then offer some advice.

Ross is simply saying that without proper punctuation and sentences posts are a bitch to read, Which almost always ends up in people skipping over them without reading them.

    Mate

If you post on this forum seeking help and advice, the least you can do is make your post intelligible (ie easy to understand). Yours are not. They are difficult to read and more difficult to comprehend, especially when you omit all punctuation and use words like "no" instead of "know". As said above, people look at your post, read about two lines and think "stuff this", then go to the next thread.

Well, seeing as you asked nicely, something like this would probably cop less flak next time.

Stay away from 20's, they are a waste of money when it's time to change tyres, they make the car less comfortable for you and your passengers, and they often look shit.

Well, this post shows you can do it. We're not picking on your grammar, we all try to help here on this forum but if you don't put in a bit of effort to start with, how can we help when your request can't be readily understood?

See what you can do when you try? Mate that is an excellent effort. Well done!!

As Dan said, stay away from the 20" rims. 18's would look quite good on it I think. As for style of rim; Something with a nice deep dish would look pretty tough. They could be a bit hard to find these days though.
If your car is white, then you wouldn't want white wall tyres on it in my opinion. You need to have some sort of contrast to break up the whiteness.
Have a look on the Bob Jane T-Mart Website. They have a thing there that shows what a particular rim looks like on your vehicle. Check it out, you may find something that you really like.

    Good luck with it anyway

Yes the car is white ,for contrast i was thinking black wheels ?
the windows are also very dark , and also all the chrome is either new , or polished so that all looks very nice . The reason i would like to steer away from the 20's is , I just cant go low enough and have clearance , but yes i think 18's are the way to go as that would also be keeping it legal . One less possible defect .
While im in here does any body know where i could get my intercooler fitted i'd like to find somewhere that will handle the pipe work side of it to , thanks guys

No, No, No! Black would look S*#%house! I have seen a few Stato's with black wheels and they Look dirty, no matter how clean they are. Gold Tru-spokes look great on a Stato, but they are expensive to buy... if you can still get them.

Where abouts are you? It would help to know so that someone can advise you on where to have the intercooler fitted.

for wheels, get a set of WH grange wheels. They will suit your car nicely.
HERE That price is brand new etc..
BUT you do find people selling 2nd sets around.

As has been said, dont go big arse bling wheels, because they are getting done to death, and look shithouse.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.

I can't help you with the Intercooler installation as I am in Qld; you a bit too far away.
A mate of mine bought a pipe kit off evilbay and fitted it himself. He told me that it wasn't that hard to do. He is a mechanic though, so that helps I guess.

It is very hard to tell you which wheels to put on your car as everybody has different tastes. Take notice of sizes that everone tells you, but styling is definately something you will ultimately have to decide for yourself. Buy the ones that YOU really like, post some pictures of the car with them on and if someone doesn't like them, then tough luck for them I say

Any way when i get wheels and all the engine bay stuff done il post some pics up so i can be judged again lol. So im still needing help with the intercooler dandenong area would be good but i can travel for a good job
