Would be great to see this event turn into what troy said a "World class car show" problem is, too many bogans attend and ruin it with the idiotic drinking etc. Same thing that killed bathurst.

That's why they need to totally revamp it. Ban grog all together. Sure, there will be quite a few unhappy punters but who gives a shit? You can get drunk at home for less. I honestly think that if there was a total booze ban you would have alot more entrants because they wouldn't have to worry about their cars. I'm sure that there is other car shows in Australia that run perfectly fine without alcohol.

Exactly, My Dad use to go to all of them, won a few awards etc.
His reason for not going anymore.. "Too many farken dick heads".. This was after he saw a spectator throw a glass bottle at a car... **** that...

I would love to take my son as he loves cars, but I wouldn't taking him with all the drunk wombats stumbling all, over picking fights etc. If it cleaned up its act the ACT Government might put some extra cash towards the event.
