Would you consider anything you did to your car/s as a fad? This is a list of some from 70’s to now.
Fox tails on aerials
CB Radios
Diffs painted orange
Huge fibreglass aerials
Moon disks
Dragway rims
Jacked up backends only
Lowered front ends only
Milo tins (one guy actually had a real Milo tin with the Milo label still on it!)
Chev badges on holdens
Fluffy dice hanging on mirrors
How many ford guys put the HO rear spoiler on many lower model falcons in 70’s?
What about the front XU1 chrome spoiler that every LC and LJ seemed to have?
How many put stateman front ends on base kingswoods/monaros in 70’s & 80’s?
Im sure theres more out there…
Omega (caprice rims)
Yamaha VX110
There is a reason why Commodore is number 1 since 1979. Its the best Aussie car. I loved my VL and I love my VE. I cant help it.
Frangipanis
Upbadging
Rice in general
Racing stripes
Body kits
TRUST/GReddy/etc stickers
Bonnet scoops
Fart cannons

Do these people think they are a new invention?
They have been around for decades, but we have only used them in the FOG or country driving. They did exist prior to VX Commodores!!
Before someone says safety, you do have parkers - far less annoying

Spinning wheel covers - saw plenty about 18 months, 2 years ago. I haven’t seen any for some time now. Maybe they have all seized up??
When I first saw them, they spun me out (no pun intended) - thought they were cool.
Recent ones have been sigs and whitewalls (not necessarily together), and louvres. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure what everyone is doing these days.
Seems like bodykits, altezzas and the like have been around too long to call a "fad"

Sticking a Chev badge on any Commodore is like putting a Nissan badge on a VL
EOI....VE SS 18" wheels x4 with 5000k's on new tread, 2 of have very minimal gutter rash (previous owner) otherwise like new send me a pm if interested.
what about neons? Few years ago they were evweywhere neon underneath, neon inside, neon boot, neon under the bonnet ...
Haha geez. I had a mate of mine who had a Nissan Pulsar. It was completely stock, except for neons on the side, a huge fart cannon and a doof doof audio system.
what car do you have again?
only a child would be "scared" of an engine, but i suppose thats what you are. no need for me to be jealous either. i had the choice between buying a LS1 and a 304, and i stick with my decision. come back and try start an argument when you actually own a car
