Hey There.
G'day everyone. I just happened to stumble across this forum and thought I'd join up. It seems pretty cool so far judging by the number of members it must be pretty popular.
Here's some pics of my car which some people may be familiar with.
Sorry about the QSC logo.
Cheers
Dave

I couldn't see a badge either. I read it in his post. Where every one of your posts says up in the top right hand corner "Ride: Black 2005 VZ S Ute
Location: Canberra, ACT Posts: 1,031", his says "Ride: VR Statesman
Posts: 1"

Ignoring the fact that he does state his ride is a VR, for those that would like to know the exterior differences between VR and VS are minor but noticeable. VR has a key boot lock which you can see in the clear boot garnish (the VS will have chrome Statesman or Caprice lettering embedded in the clear strip), VR has a badge indicating the model on the rear, and the 5.0 V8 badge is on the body side strip (VS has the chrome V8 badge on the guard). Came stock with square orange side indicators but the good change has been made to oval clear. He's also got a Caprice grill and the front clear indicators from a VS. Very nice ride indeed!!

you sure? cos my mums old VS stato had:
the 5.0 V8 badge is on the body side strip
VR has a badge indicating the model on the rear
you sure that the VS S1 isnt similar to the VR and the VS S2 has the above mentioned differences?

You're absolutely correct Troy711, it is the series 2 that had those changes. But now you've got me thinking, I know the interior of the VR and VS Series 1 are very similar (if not identical) and now you've pointed out that the exterior is the same so does anyone know what changed with the launch of the VS series 1? Was it just the launch of the Ecotec V6 while the V8 remained unchanged?
