my daihatsu charade loves it. its a manual but it absolutely loves abuse. its gotten to the point it doesn't run right if its not getting flogged. no water, no problem!. melted clutch, loves it!. even towing it down the road and dropping it into 1 at about 40 clicks with a cylinder full of oil didn't do anything. (if you leave a car on its side for over a month, take the plugs over and give it a wind) carby has given up on life though i suspect.
I've got a friend who does it, revs it 4k, drops it in drive. It rarely creates a burnout, all that happens is you hear a loud thump and depending on how lucky you are, another thump as your gearbox falls off your car :P

i knew someone that used to do it in a vs calais, quickly destroyed the first gearbox, got it rebuilt then quickly destroyed the second one. sold the car not long after and to this day still says the werent built very good
does it count if youve accidently done this from having one hand on the gear selector, driving tired and accidently pushing it into neutral, first reaction thinking 'oh shit thats not what i wanted to do' and put it back into drive but forgetting you were still accelerating? if so, then yes, once lol.
yes that was a stupid moment for me :P
i saw a kid do this the other day in the maccas carpark, wheels spun until the gearbox blew. it was friggin hilarious
he came flying into the park, revved the crap out of this old beat up vr wagon while his mates got out then dumped it into reverse and flew out the park and dropped it back to drive. wheels spun a bit then bang lol the look on his face was priceless
Try it in an Auto RX4 Rotary at 6K.
Not much of a bump, just snap, no drive, output shaft on box snaps!
Nah, screw standing burnouts. The ute loses traction if you push it too hard in 2nd in the wet (in a straight line). Deadly stuff.

ok this is no bs, had my first skyline r30 2.4 litre v6 auto, had car full of mates, first got me liscense, reverse, roll back outta the drive way and grabbed neatural and reved her to 6 grand dropped her into drive and BANG, blew all my diff apart, sungears were down the other end of the street, it was an irs diff so not too bad to change, but that was me first and last experience, because with that when i was manual shifting from 1st to 2nd i would go straight to neutural and rev it up and grab 2nd, would churp, but thats probbally what weakened it to
do it now and again by accident wen u pull out of a park and try to take off quickly because there is traffice behind you and you go from reverse to drive and put ure foot on the acelerator too quick
