hahah neutral bangers...lol only in paddock bashers
I'm wanting to know if anyone (or anyone "you know") has ever actually been stupid enough to try this? I see alot of these replies in threads where some toolkit is asking how to do a burn out.. but what is the end result?

i think i did it in my mums car when i was a stupid 18 year old. didn't rev it high though, maybe 3k?
Faith does not give you the answers, it just stops you asking the questions.
Lol i've done this in some old crap box....
Wheels lost traction for at least 100mm lol. Then just drove off normaly.
EDIT: This was in a car that was getting wrecked. I'd be to worried to do this in anything half decent lol.
baha
neutral dumps.. seen it done a few times..
sometmes lights up an takes off.. other times does sweet fa an takes off lol
possibly the worst thing you can to do to an auto
mm it would definately have to do damage, so stupid
one way to **** up your gearbox
ha ha ha ha i had a 5 litre VL with head and cam package and when i was getting a new gearbox built we decided to give hell to the old one i was rev dumping it at like 5000 rpm and the f**king thing would not break . . . . it dropped awsome burnout outs rev dumping it

haha yeah i had a old mate do it in his dads old camry wagon, was halerious and he thought it was mega cool
Hahaha...should i do this in my vz to do a burnout, it would fully look like a manual.
(extremly sarcastic voice)

MY VZ SS UTE
i saw someone get pulled over down the beach in geelong one day cos they were neutral bombing it after every speedhump. haha. the cops did the car a favour.
Can't say my old Commodore ever got neutral bombed, but it did go 20km/h in reverse then put into first with a flat foot. Didn't sound to healthy but the 150m right tyre mark on the road was interesting.
i would assume it would be like dropping the clutch in a manual

Yeah man, every time one of my boxes was going I'd do this.
I'd rather the box go somewhere close to home than at the coast or somewhere like that.
It's absolute murder on gear, but since these boxes were already rooted -flaring up to the rev limiter on shifts, about 10 seconds for a gear to engage from park- I didn't really care.
I must put my hand up for doing this but I will point out it was a long time ago when I was a P plater getting egged on by mates. I had a VH SLE with a 4.2l and took it to about 4500 rpm and dropped it into drive, the result was a little squeal from the rear and me rolling about 100m. The next day after getting it home on the back of a truck I discovered a very neatly snapped axle.
I would imagine most autos these days would stop it from doing too much, anti-abuse etc.

I had a guy some into work the other week telling me he thinks he's got problems with his trans, then a few mins later he tells me he's been revving it in neutral and smashing it into 1st haha.
I once hit reverse while driving in me bro's old VK. The pin in the shifter was missing, so u could slap it into any gear without lifting the button, and one night I was cruising along doin about 50k's and I went passed a mate so went to give him a rev, and hit reverse haha....was funny as!![]()
hahahahaha...my mate used to give his pintara heaps of this...it was the best cruiser, half an exhaust, half cut rear springs and sometimes ran on three cylinders...and dont forget the black bonnet.
reverse to first on take off then neutral dumps at every pedestrian crossing afterwards...he lost his license for indicating left and right while doing a wog crawl haha...memories.
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
HAHA this brings back memories. Mate with a 355 VQ stato was going into get the box replaced with a T350 so decieded to try a 'neutral slappy'...........tried it once, box gone.
Pretty funny seeing it on the limiter before getting dumped into drive only to go no where.
