Old member has returned

[VL Executive]

Hi all,

No one probably knows or remembers me now. But Im VL Executive. I joined this forum in 2004 and made 131 posts between 04 and 05. The forum was a lot smaller and more basic then and pretty quiet. I was then lured to Street Commodores and LS1 and occasional visits to Calaisturbo. Also a Weather forum called Weatherzone. Have spent the last 4 years hanging round those forums.

Lately, SC has gone a bit quiet, So I decided to have a look here again. The place has changed a fair bit with a lot more members. So I tried logging in again last night but I forgot what my password was. And lost the record I had of it when my old comp crashed. I could not use password recovery because my Email had changed. But, thanks to Darren in admin helping me out. I was able to come back on

Was funny when I logged back on. I had two "new" PM's from 2005, and saw my old signature "The Lion will roar in 2004" It was like I was back in time.

Anyway, glad to be part of the forum again.

Hi goVZ, I remember you as well. You were goVY back then.

Forgot to mention in the original post. I still have the two VL's and the V6 Rodeo, but I have aquired a few more Commodores since.

Back in 2004 / 05 I had and still have

VL SL 5 speed
VL Executive
V6 Rodeo single cab trayback

Now in 2009 the list looks like this

VL SL 5 speed
3 VL Executives - (2 parts cars)
1 VL Berlina - (under restoration)
1 VK Berlina 3.3 EFi with full Calais interior and electrics
V6 Rodeo single cab trayback

The Rodeo, VL SL, 1 VL Exec and the VK are road registered.

Also, Unfortunantly Project Berlina Turbo (The turbo conversion to the SL) has not yet eventuated.
