Default dingo got mt baby.. i mean, fox got my chicken

so we purchased 4 chickens on sunday. paid $600 for a pen, $18 per chicken, $50 for grain, $50 for fencing (that hasn't properly been put up yet).

i return home from work tonight to find that a struggle has taken place and 3 of my 4 chickens are gone.
im actually really angry about this, i went down into the paddock to see a big ba*ted of a fox, it was a bit darker in colour, not the usual red you see, so im guessing it was an older one.

anyway now im going to go sit on the pen with the .22 and my new hollow point bullets and hopefully the pri*k comes back for the 4th.
    wish me luck.

Yeah that's the trouble with keeping chickens. We used to have a pen ajacent to a horse paddoc and they would go missing.. We made a bigt arse chicken pen to lock em up at night.

are you f**king serious mate? they are a pest, they destroy other animals, plants and habitats. the government supports the killing of foxes. actually i don't even think the greens would disagree with it as long as it is done in a humane way. and the method of killing that was described above is humane.

agree 100% just like roo's, nothing more than a pest...however roo's are native, fox's are not and should be treated like any noxious pest...killed.

My neighbours had a few white fluffy chickens for years and had no problems with anything until the day their dog (that was fine with them and guarded them the whole time) skitzed out and killed them all...

The only thing that has ever been killed around my house was my baby pet rabbit, a possum got into his hutch and killed him : (

Yeah, same probably lol, near the heyfield turnoff?
I cant bloody stand foxes, will do anything to get rid of them. I remeber spending about 4 hours chasing one around the paddocks lol, got it in the end.

Predator calls FTW, also .22 is just fine, just pump them into it
