The CBR's are a good bike, though the only problem is the 19,000RPM redline and the fact that almost every L plater who owns one goes there quite often... I looked at so many last year, and all of them were pretty trashed..

you want a CBR for under 3k? hard to find, even the old models are commanding hefty price tags. but if you do locate one i guarantee you'll spend around that again just fixing stuff the last owner killed. like one and only said, they've had the guts thrashed out of them

There is a Peter Stevens in Ferntree Gully selling a CBR 1996 model for $3500.
Nice looking bikes, i think they would be fine for a learner.
I know you can get a bigger engine but i wouldnt want nothing bigger on my L's

most 250's have the guts flogged out of them anyways..something to do with young blokes on motorbikes and not enough power between there legs..
