just wondering if anyone has had an engine and transmission or similarly weighted item transported from nsw to vic, and what something like this is likely to run to dollarwise.
it's a 304 with headers and t5 from sydney to melbs
Depends who does it and if it is depot to depot, you will generally be charged more as its a one off.
I wouldnt expect much change from 150 for a depot to depot. Try a few general carrying companies.

prob round $200 maybe
i had a t5 and all other manual conversion bits sent to me from syd, done on size, so a half pallet (skit/skip or wateva its called) was $190 freight by Toll IPEC.
aZk.
Skid is what they are.
Will likeley travel on weight - 33c per kg plus $20 basic.
If it travels on volume, conversion will be around 300KG per cubic meter, based on its L x W x H in cm.
those figures sound fairly reasonable, do any of these mobs do pickup from a house. i'm not needing door to door delivery, but i think the seller isn't going to be eager to drop it at a depot.
for enquires, i'd be right giving the weight as about 300kg? (based on a Holden V8 weighing 220-230kg, and a T5, 50-60kg, give or take.
also any ideas of who i should call to get further quotes?
It will unlikely to go on weight it will go on space(would be one full pallet space and if they double stack it will take up 2 spaces as they cant stack on top) as for door to door, expect price to go up again.

my gregories is only for v6 and the quotes want dimensions, do you have a estimate on the length and width of a 5litre with a manual box?
