He has a 80 series cruiser and wants it a space cab insted of a wagon

The only reason he wants it cut down is cause he is going to enter it in 4x4 comps due to writting off his last 4x4 and its easyer to run bigger tyres on a ute than a wagon (people who are into 4x4 will understand)

I will be supplying all the materials but not paint if he wants me to paint it

Not just bigger tyres it wouldnt be as top heavy, theres less body to damge and better departure angle

Im into 4wd's and I fail to see how a ute can run bigger tyres then a wagon, its still restricted by the front at at the end of the day. Also cutting down and 80 series is lame, sell the 80series and buy a Hilux, or just run it as a wagon, the look horn jacked up.

If he is entering 4wd comps he would be jus cutting the back off and entering he obviously be lifting it which would allow him to run bigger tyres front and back, and hilux diffs and transfer cases are not as strong as a 80 series.

Sounds good,i just going a 2in lift with 33s and some new wheels as the ones on it are pretty rusted.Exhaust is RS so extractors and sports system is the go.Dont want to go too high as the shorties like to roll over if they are lifted too high.

That much lift is incredibly un-necessary. The front and rear diffs would not be high enough (even on 37's) to make it necessary. It might go everywhere but the centre of gravity would be outrageously high and he must be prepared to roll it.

He has already rolled it once at a comp and rebuilt it with a whole new body, and yes the diffs aint really high off the ground but in the bush its all about picking your line, you wouldnt pick a line on a track where you know your diff will bottom out
