Simple answer is too move away from Adelaide, I did it 5 years ago and it was the best decision i've ever made. Easier to get employement, I go drag racing every month at Willowbank and I always attend events like Powercruise's and Cruise For Charity out at Queensland Raceway. Theres also Archerfield burn outs and drifts comps on nearly every Thursday night aswell.

Theres alot more avenue for Motorsport up here and alot more lenient "hoon laws" and cops.

ummm look at japan they purpose built dirft TRAINING tracks to get them outta hils hile etc. look at mallar and the legal drift sence here why can't they do a good couple of skid pads and a track or two across SA. like STEALTHY said then any races or skids will be honning on our roads.

I have a solution! instead of crushing the hoons car when they get caught, you put their picture in the petrol stations and stop selling them petrol!

i agreed with stealthy... the sooner they bring in these laws for P platers the better.. but then again.. how many p platers or fully licenced drivers now have cars that have illegal mods?? SHIT LOADS!! so what is restrictions going to do.. for one it will make some people follow the new rules, but then you will still have the ones they wont and still will bolt on illegal mods. there are tonnes of cars out there that have illegal mods and the cops have caught them yet..

i think that they should bring in a rule that if you are defected and go to regency for anything and parts are removed or changed.. then get it passed.. i think that they should have to go back to regency every 6-8 weeks to get it checked over and make sure it that it hasnt been changed back.. yes i no some of you guys are saying "i wont care ill just keep changing it evey time i go there".. but how long do you think you will keep this up????

We cant keep going back to regency every 6-8 weeks to have a check done, as you kno it takes an hour plus to go through. and we dont have enough staff to run it as it is!
and you cant get a day off every 6-8weeks to go so they can have a look.
i do think we need to do RWC like NSW do every 12months for rego.
if ya cars not upto scratch then it wont get passed till it is.

i also think that when i driver goes for their P's that they have the test as welll as like a half a day or full day course on what will happen if you are stupid on the roads.. and full course on an accident from the result of speeding and hoon driving.. some will get the message but some wont..

it sounds good in theroy, but people get there P's every day.
if someone is trying to run it, they should make it central and have done the course befor the can even get there P's.
but it wont happen cause we cant afford the faclities to do it!

my mate has a farm down south and was busted for doing circle work in the padock!
he put up a fight in court and won because it was his property.
and he was told not to do it again because it gives out a bad impression to the locals around the area!


if we cant do anything in SA why do we even drive.

I'll keep this short and simple

Have speedway city have burnout comps on more offen yearly, not just during the speedway season. And re-open AIR asap.

If ne1 is caught "hooning" outside or anywhere away from this legal area, book em 2 the fullest extent of the law.

I still can't believe people think building a track will solve a great deal of this problem.

1. Is the track open 24 hours a day and if not then what do these guys do?

2. Are these guys going to drive a certain distance to do a burn out then go home? perhaps to start with but eventually no.

3. If you start getting massive amount of cars there then people will get sick of waiting for their turn and just use the streets.

4. When everyone finishes for the night then they all will act big and act like morons on the way home anyway.

5.And why the hell should my tax money go towards these d...heads spinning their wheels? If they can get 200 out for a night of hooning then they can all put some cash in and build their own track!!

The answer is simple. Take down the numbers of all these cars being driven stupidly and rock up the next day with a truck and impound the car for a month. Second offence then give them an invitation to see it crushed. If they don't surrender the car or do a runner then jail them and crush the car. Anyone helping in obstructing the police catching these offender should have their cars impounded also. Just get tougher and tougher until these guys get it in their heads that they're wa..ers and wake up.

I drive a nice looking car with mags and lowered and all the rest and it shits me that others might look at me and my car and think I'm a hoon like these moorons or even worse I start getting hassled by cops.

Its obvious about the track, as much as some people don't want to believe it. In SA at least, its only became a media hit since the track closed. I'm amazed no-one else can see the ****in obvious link.


'IF' there is a track, no-one will have any problem with such laws. ATM there isn't anywhere to have fun. Blah Blah the government shouldn't have to provide somewhere, well then the government should stop introducing legislation such as they are.


I'd LOVE to see your reaction after your car is impounded. Don't indicate, and get a **** of a cop, who impounds your car under hoon laws (because hoon means modified car) and crushes it. lol man, so you're happy to pay for anti hooning campaigns that DON'T work (aka waste of ****ing money), as long as you're not supporting the habit? because that's what you're doing right now... the idea is to get hoons off the streets, but you'll only pay if you can take their habit away from them? you won't pay to support their habit, even if it achieves the goal of removing hoons from the streets? hmm...

LOL at CB radio's being fast n furious - we used em in the 80's to out smart the local coppers. But we "hooned" well away from the local township - as doing burnouts in the main street - that would have been real dumb now would'nt it.

I really think it's fair to say South Australia's problem is lack of venues. Ever since I was a teenager I noted that there were more fast cars and "hoons" across the border as soon as you hit Mount Gambier than there is in Vic, It's allways been like that, it's the major culture of the state (we all know the poor buggers have nothing else to live for ). Why a state whos youth allways have grown up with a car fetish have got no place to legally race near the capital city is beyond me. If you are going to change the laws to stiffin then penalties for burnouts and sideways action on the street then you surely better make alternative arragments for where this can be done. You can't change peoples desires overnight, that takes generations to forget

I think the real problem is the clear lack of any brain sense in South Australian people, not the lack of any track. People who want to drive fast go to tracks no matter where they are. I know many SA people who come over to heathcote(used to come to Calder) go to whyalla etc. The people doing it on the streets will not use a track, simply because they are braindead ****wits who dont give a shit about anyone else.

The only thing that will fix hoons is a bullet between the dafts idiots eyes.
