ok im probably gona sound stupid coz i dont know heaps about cars lol my car is a vt calais 5.0L its a 97 model its got the 195i engine does anyone know much about these models???

cant find nothing on the net about them!!!

the guy i got it from said that not alot of these were made so it will hold its value a bit more is that true or he just talking shit??

whats the difference between my car and just a normal vt calais thats a v8??

also what price would i consider selling my car for??

The only difference from factory i believe is a 195i HSV tune and the exhaust. That's it. Oh and the badges.

na i'm interested in seeing if there's hsv enhanced plate on the fire wall. if its just a Calais thats been hsv enhanced like my vr berlina you wont find anything on it in any of the car sites.

Anyone can buy some second hand engine covers from a wreckers or ebay and claim it's 'HSV Enhanced'. Look at the silver metal plates on the firewall for any indication it's HSV modified.

The firewall is the wall at the back of the motor. I think the VT had the compliance plate on the wall on the passenger side. Out of curiosity how much did you pay for it and how many kilometres on the clock?

Firewall: Seperates the engine bay from the cabin. It's the wall behind the engine. The steel one. Engine bay is under the bonnet, bonnet in at the front of the car. You can see it from the windscreen if you look forward and down.

i only paid $3000 for it coz i got it off a friend and i kept talking the price down but they did initialy want $8000. its done 180,000 and its in really good condition. so i think i got a good deal, but thats why im trying to find out how much its worth im thinking of selling it
