is there any guides that have been done on rebuilding them?...

Gregories are probably the go. But if you're unsure you should probably get somebody else to do it, rebuilds not something you wanna screw up.

on that other commodore forum there's a heap of people doing buick rebuilds, and in the attached magazine one of the journo's did one on his own VN and wrote a 2 1/2 year series of articles surrounding it, maybe do a bit of searching round
