Hi all, what mods would you call ricer.
i don't reckon there are too many things that are 100% ricer, some people call wings or any carbon fibre ricer, but look at the vs gts-r.
i think it comes down to how it's done, and also whether the car is all show and no go.
even fart cannons must have their uses, sure they're mostly put on NA buzzboxes, but there must be some people who need them and get performance from them.
the only thing that's always ricer to me is stacked wings, overuse of mesh and over the top custom panels like bonnets with more speed holes than bonnet.
Things that make a slow car look faster (or are meant to anyway), and overly flashy things such as pointless lights and (a lot of) handbrake handles, gear knobs etc

My carhad to get in before anyone else did
Generally defined as modifications made to a car to make it appear (look, sound faster) when they do sweet bugger all.
Including...
*Canon exhausts
*Oversize wings
*Bulky bodykits, often with mesh behind the grilles
*LED/Neon lights
*Altezza taillights/headlights/indicators
*Certain variations of rims
Some people will argue that certain modifications are not rice, but classified as 'bling'. (Myself included) It comes down to a matter of personal taste, you like it or you don't.

The VZ is here! About time!
its pretty much what these guys said, anything to make a crap car (engine wise) look like a faster tuned up ride. its pretty much just posers and such who do it
this urban dictionary is so funny, i went to look at the ricer def. and ended up reading heaps of it, btw, I know what a ricer is, I'm just trying to get different people views, I think it includes most of the add on crap that ends up being a fashion like neons, they were in when the Fast and Furious movies were around but died just as quick. I do however agree with stuff like steering wheels, gear knobs, pedals and all the stuff you actually have to use every time you drive the car, and seats and harnesses if you race the car.
stickers! preformance stickers on stock cars, big body kits/spoilers on stock cars, fart cannons, two tone paint jobs ridiculously large wheels

apparently wasting my time with 97 cubic inches
milk doesnt come in 1.6 litres
my geminis
bonnet scoops on cars that don't need them, badges from higher level cars
but how does this make it rice?
my car is a vp senator, as you may or may not know the interior has senator stitching based on the vy badge, and to match this stiching like i said previously vy senator badges will be replcing the vp senator badges.
just curious how this is rice as my car is a senator, merely putting on better looking badges.
This thread reeks of fail already.![]()

No, because yours is still a Senator, I meant badges from cars with higher luxury levels being put on lower end cars, for example, an SS or HSV badge on an Exec, Lancer Evo badge on a Lancer GLi, WRX badge on a standard Impreza, etc. Despite the VY badges being from a newer model, you're still putting Senator badges on a Senator.
