so as long as it has half decent getup people will buy it for fuel efficiency.

theyd be popular fleet cars also.

I don't think it would go down to well, look at the VC's i think it was the 4 bangers, cost more to run than the bloody 6's smaller engine working harder to move the car, the 6 would cruise along easy, but the 4 would be revving out a fair bit more, Chewing through more and more petrol.

Doesn't make sense in my opinion, but i guess they can try it if it doesn't work out they can scrap it like holden did with the old 4 banger commodores.

If it was same sorta setup as a Hybrid Toyota it would be something that people would be more interested in i reckon

I dare say the 4 cyclinder engine has come a long way since 1980 when the VC was released.

I wouldn't put anything past Ford. They are doing well in the power department against Holden with inline 6's combined with F/I.

They haven't even started using "V" engines yet. I'd say their 4 banger won't be anything to sniff at. Good on them i say.

4cyl could be an interesting one but i say in times like now it will sell but i dont know how well the 4 banger will cope with a big family car but i laugh at the thought of a turbo 4cyl falcon

I agree, it will be an interesting new car to say the least. Power and driveability wise i believe it will be a nice car to drive. Ford aren't exactly a failure in terms of quality cars.
