    Hahahaha that's ridiculous, but you'd be surprised that some of these plates actually sell for those kinda prices.

    Big friggin deal, gimme a piece of steel and a couple of diff size hammers and I'll 'hand-make' a plate. I thinks its a load of crap just paying $395 for custom plates when standard plates are about $50. Just like anything these days, its all about the green! Well done Vicroads, you have found another way to rip people.

    Funnily enough Victoria has pretty fair prices when it comes to custom plates. Go to Queenland and try get personalised plates, for what we pay 400 dollars for, they pay around 2 grand.

    ..but then they come out with this rubbish lol. Whats so special about them? They have dints in them for **** sake

    mate's dad has double digit plates. think it's around 17 or something. paid something around the range of $40,000 for them. Normally that'd be worth about the same as the car but the plates grace a Mercedes SL65AMG
