Well my wife had her 1st when she had just turned 19 and I was 24. I am now 35 and we had our 2nd in 2002 when I was 28 and my wife was 22.
No more for us. I have got her pregnant 5 times for 2 kids and 3 miscarriages.
Kids are so much hard work and they chane your lives forever.
There not hard work at all, they just require a lot of responsiility. The hardest thing is when the missus comes up to you and says "I spent $500 coz I needed nappies and formula and the kids doctors appointments and this and that". But you deal with it. Best movie quote ever "Any fool with a dick can make babies but only a real man can raise his kids". Or something like that, you get the jist.
I had my first at 25 and my wife as just on 20. One of the best things I have ever done. I am 10 weeks away from my 4th and can't wait. Yes they can be painful at times but it is usually because I put my mood onto them.
Nothing like getting crash tackled at the door, kids hanging off ya legs waiting to go and kick a footy.
It is quite funny at times for me as sometimes I still don't think of myself as a parent, just a 31 year old with some really good mates waiting for me when I get home. I also get to buy toys from my youth for myself (like lego) and they all just think it is for my kids.

I was 23 when I had mine.
Now 25 and I feel I should have had kids earlier.
Better to have them while your young i recon, that way your not 50 when your kids start school. Plenty of years left to work to support them.
I'm against having kids when you get too old as well. I have a mate my age (21) who's Dad is almost 70, and in the last few years of highschool he had a real tough time because his old man has all sorts of health problems.
My Dad passed away when I was 10 years old. Although he was still young (under 40), he was sick for a long time beforehand. After going through that as a little kid I'll do whatever it takes to make sure I'm around to see my kids grow up.
Besides, I don't want to be in a nursing home before my kids are making enough money to set me up in the nicest one
