never never never never never!
hey guys recently my mate told me that hes having a kid not a planned thing hes 19 and his GF is 17, also my cousin whos 18 is having a kid also not planned, anyway it seem a bit odd to me that people of my age are having kids(i feel old).
so this bring me to the question how old were you when you had your first kid? or when do you plan to have kids?

never never never never never!
im 23 and ive got mates with kids and other mates gettin married etc, makes me feel hell old as im still into goin out and havin a ball lol.
plannin to start before 30 lol, just need a suitable partner lol.
I know it's probably a little bit immature but I've seen so many people my age (21) who have kids and it has really impacted on their lives so much more than any of them have planned for.
You say the girl is 17... Is having a kid at 17 really a responsible thing to do? I know it's pretty much one of only 2 choices for them at this point but can a 17 year old really be a mother? Can a 19 year old really be a father?

hell no, what 17 year old in theyre right mind would have a kid intentionallyYou say the girl is 17... Is having a kid at 17 really a responsible thing to do?
i think it depends on the maturity level of the person in question, ive met some very mature 17 year olds, and some very immature ones tooI know it's pretty much one of only 2 choices for them at this point but can a 17 year old really be a mother?
once again maturityCan a 19 year old really be a father?

i've had 2 different occassions (2 different chicks) where we thought they where pregs... EDIT: i was with one for a year, and one for 2 years (not just sme one night stand)
not just like oh yeah late for period, must be pregnant...
like the real deal...
whilst i think i'd be a great father and be-able to provide also... i realy can't see myself havin kids now...
i am totally against abortion.... but i also can't imagine having children this early in life...
i only want 1 kid, and don't care when it happens, just not in the next 6 or 7 years... maybe after i'm married or something...
I'm 21 and people I went to highschool with have started getting married and having kids.
That's not something I'm planning to do until at least after I graduate (~3 years) and at least have some cash put away for a house etc.
I had one scare when I was 17 thinking my girlfriend at the time was pregnant, and although I didn't really feel ready for a kid I like to think I would have been able to handle it...somehow

i dont get it it...you would be broke if you DID NOT have a child? How the hell does that work?
I do not want children, mrs wants 1. Wont have it until she is 30-32. So a few years away yet. As far as Im concerned children = money sink, they are worse than cars, at least you get enjoyment back from cars![]()

I was turning 24 when i had my Daughter and wouldnt trade her for the world.Yes you have times were you pull your hair out with them but then there's the other times when you look at your child and thank god for them been Healthy and for coming into your life, I was the same, was always out pissing up and was heading for the gutter i reckon.I was with my daughters mum for almost 8 years before we seperated and now my daughter lives with me.My daughter and I have been threw alot of up's and downs on a personnel level which i wouldnt wish upon anyone but from that we have become stronger people.24 was a good age to have a child as i worked out she'll turn 16 and me 40 a month laterPersonnally i think having a child at a young age is too much, for one thing no-one that young has maturity as they have'nt experienced life properly, having a child is one of the biggest responsibilities a person/person's can undertake. You can't simply go get a refund if your not happy with the product!!!!!

i worked at safeway for 2 years and hearing those little pricks scream when mummy doesnt buy them that toy or mummy doesnt buy them that chocolate coin has put me off kids for a very long time.
Also ive seen a few news reports saying each child from when their born to being 18 cost about $250,000, so that put me off also
Not planning on having kids for a long time, so far the missus doesnt want kids either so it's all good atm![]()
I was 32, partner was 27.
24 when daughter was born, 26 when my boy arrived. daughter turned 5 yesterday. mum and i were together for 5 years, gone our separate ways now.
like someone else said, age isn't always a measure of maturity. I've seen plenty of mature 17-18 year olds, and just as many immature 25+

I was 17 when I got pregnant with my daughter. No, she was not planned, but I don't regret a thing. She changed my life for the better.
I must admit, I am envious of people my age (26) without children - plenty of money, spare time, friends, a career. It will all come though...
I'm with Kane, never never never!
