I get the same thing from a primer spray can, i bought 3 other different colour paints as well and they work fine. I thought it was only a problem with the Primer.
If someone does know why it does that, i'd like to know as well.
i'm trying to paint some engine bits with k&h engine enamel 300*C and after ages of shaking the can i gave it a shot and it just squirts a stream/jet of paint, not a spray. i thought it could be temperature related cos its cold today so i warmed the can in some water but the same.
i swapped the nozzle out for one from another k&h pressure pack (one that worked fine a second ago on that can) and it did the same.
am i missing something or am i just too stupid to work pressure packs. i can't really use the spray like this, can't do passes with it, it'll just make runs
i had a k+h colour match made up a few weeks ago and when i took the nozzle off to adjust the spray fan direction and put it on again, instead of spraying it just all bubbled out from under the nozzle. i took that one back for a swap, so if there's a way round this i'd rather that instead of making another return that'd be ideal.
i don't want to be the guy that keeps returning cans.
Without looking at it I can't say for sure, but it sounds like a problem with the way the paint comes up through the tube and into the spray nozzle. Does it have the correct spray nozzle on it? Is the little spray pattern tab there? It's usually a little red rectangular tab that can be turned to change the spray pattern from vertical to horizontal.
yeah it had right spray cap and the spray pattern nozzle on it, every spray cap i put on of any other can (most k+h) had the same problem. took it back and they asked me if i shook it properly and i said yeah. they took it in the back and put it in the paint mixer shaker and confirmed it was dodgy so swapped it over.
There ya go.....I wonder if it didn't have enough pressure to atomize the paint.
The piant is too cold always put the cans in hot water for about 7-10minutes before using them
