bake them in an oven? It would be too hard to maintain even heat distribution with a heat gun.
reading up on the VHT engine paints, i read
i figured before i bolt the parts i've sprayed up back onto the engine i'd give them a fair blast with the heat gun, cos they won't get super hot in use (they're the alternator/PS bump brackets and the water pump pulley)VHT Engine Enamel only attains its unique properties after correct curing.
* Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 20 minutes.
* The inherent heat of engine operation will also accomplish curing.
but i don't want them chipping off and heating supposedly makes the paint bond to is surface betterr.
is this a dumb idea, i just don't want to peel/crack the paint (it's already dried but)

Im not sure about VHT paints, but usually I heat the item up before I paint it, has come out ok in past, no flaking etc and pretty much instant dry. only problem is different temps on different parts seem to make the paint different colours, thats heating it up 1st though.
hahaha funny as, buy her a lounge then do it lol. hopefully she'll see right past the oven, if not, at least you'll be comfy lol.
I've baked it in the oven heaps, Morton baked some of his bits in the oven aswell ^_^
