    Arrow Powdercoating and/or Polishing Rims

    Hey all,

I've got a set of 17" VR Clubsport rims I'm looking at either getting polished or Powdercoated black.

Does anybody have some prices I'd be looking at an good quality places to get either one done at, in Melbourne, Somewhere around S/E Suburbs.

    Cheers

I paid 85 to have my jets done in the same colour as sigs, worked out to $250 for the set. Not sure who did them as i got our friend at beaurepaires to organise it all.

yeah dude i just painted my rims myself, came up alright, saved me 600bucks aswel, dont forget u need to pay to get the rims and tires separated and then put back on, it seems small but it can get costly.

$10 for me to get the tyres stripped, As I need new tyres, so not costly at all..

Theyve all got a bit of gutter rash over time aswell.. I wonder if I can dremel/sand it back if it'll throw balence out ...

Mind me asking, @ Benjamino, What paint did you use?

I had one of my wheels fixed on Monday and the material taken out was so minor it did nothing to the balance. I asked the guy about it and said he fixed worse wheels than mine and has never had a complaint.

Before and after pics. You can still see it was repaired if you stare at it right up close but the dude did a brilliant job and it looks great.

I went to auto pro and asked them if they had decent wheel paint, and they sorted me out with a few cans. not sure exactly on the brand, but it was just specialist wheel paint, about 20bucks per can.
id say 2 cans primer 3cans paint 3 cans clear coat, some snadpaper, and ull av urself a fun wknd.

Looks like the outside of the rim to me.....

Mat, just rub them back yourself and get a panel shop to paint them properly.

Already told you on msn, but i'll post the info for others.

Mine cost $50 per wheel to be powdercoated (they have any colour you can think of, they have 5 different types of black lol). That also included the guy sending them to another business to be acid bathed.
I was under the same impression as benjamino that it was expensive to have them done, so i put it off for years. Only when i dropped into the place when i was bored did i find out how cheap it is.

That's the outside edge. The 'Y2082' is imprinted on the tyre.

Two more pics. I didn't post these the first time cos they are crap
