i am a breeder so always have heaps of babies that i sell off
I use to they all got white spot and died lol so sold the tank ill stick to dogs from now on
have a festae, used to be in a tank with about 5 other fish, and decided to eat them.
so removed him and put him in his own bigger tank, and put a couple of bigger fish in there thinking he would calm down, but he ate the bigger fish aswel. so now is in a bigger tank by himself.
2 large bristlenose catfish bigger than 20 cm got them when they were about 2 cm long
1 large oscar about 25 cm about 5 cm long when i got it
1 freshwater eel about 40 cm got him when he was about 10 cm long
Hey mate, lucky i found this post haha
i've been keeping fish for 7 years, breeding for 5
have had many many tanks.. around 20+
worked in the industry
i'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about hot/cold/saltwater fish
at the moment i have a 185L 2.5foot (very high)
Ive got two tanks with Australian bass.
Ive got a big tank in the garage which is home to 3 bass around 15cm which we caught wild in summer. Ill probably let them go in about a month, I feel slack because they really don't belong in a tank.
And in the other tank which is in my bedroom I have 2 young bass about 4-5cm. That tank is set up just like a tropical tank with driftwood, plants etc
I'm going to get more as I originally had 4 but 2 died.
Bass are awsome fish to have in a tank, especially when you feed them crickets they go crazy!
Ive had a fishtank/tropical fish for the last 8 years, its great having fish, they are the best animal

Mat, that marine setup of your brothers is awesome, I wish I had the time to keep one similar. I'd hate to think of what he has spent on it over the years.
My parents have a tropical setup, nothing overly fancy. They have a ghost knife who is about 35cm long
They got it when he was about 5cm and he won't stop growing!
I left my Betta in my brother's care when I moved...
Suffice to say he wasn't quite the animal person I was but I'll be getting another one soon
The VZ is here! About time!
have a 90l tank in my room
3x ghost knifes
2x bristle nose
3x medium loached
3x small loaches
2x something-or-other shark
2x something or other glass fish
20x tetra neons
Had something go through the tank a few weeks back so i lost a few, just waiting for it to all settle (which is appears to have) then look at adding a couple more.
