Cops in other states...?? won't / Can't do shit...???

hey guys... this isnt a RANT..just a question.. but it may sound like it...

i was driving up to the gold coast the other day, i was in NSW about 50km's from the border i was in the middle lane of a 3 lane... in the rear vision mirror i saw some dick in a subaru liberty coming up pretty fast...i kept my eye on him he then changed lanes and over took me then quickly darted in front of me to take the next exit, he swerved over 3 lanes in front of me...

what a dick..he could have just gotten in "The slow lane" and taken the exit normally... anyway i was quiet pissed off for how much danger he put me in (and my sister was in the car)

anyway about 50-100metres back there was a queensland copper in the slow lane.... but didnt do anything... just kept driving..


my question is... was this cop just a lazy ****wit, or are thay not allowed to pull over poeple because they are not in QLD??

to be honest it seems more about the police being noticed (big obvious rbt's and so forth) rather than actually stopping people here...

Yeah hard to say, but I'd think it was because QLD police dont have jurisdiction in NSW, why he was down there who knows! They may have notified the local area command, Tweed more than likely if your on the border, surprise surprise seeing someone going for it on the pacific motorway!

The NSW police have to get permission to chase people into QLD if they are going over the border, and if they dont get it they just have to stop and let the guy go! Seems ridiculous but I guess thats state legislation for you.

Copper was probably used to it. Last time i was in QLD the drivers seemed a lot more arrogant.

Next thing I know there are those familiar blues and reds lighting up my rear-vision mirror and I'm copping an earbashing from this wanker cop.

FFS, when are they going to start going after the real criminals and leave us commodore drivers alone. If I was in anything but a commodore he wouldn't have looked twice - its like there is one set of rules for us and another for everyone else.

Bad luck with that one, i lived in banora, tweed cops suck, been pulled over 7times in 3hrs one night. They are harsh compared to most, they had a shake up few yrs back.
