Well you can have it all – MP3, sat nav and mobile phone all through your car stereo – simple.
If your head unit has an Aux in, then you are in luck – you need the following:
Mobile phone with blue tooth
Sat nav with Bluetooth, MP3 and Aux out.

I bought a Garmin sat nav after a friend demonstrated his one to me. I was impressed with the spoken street names and red light camera and speed camera alerts. I think most other brands have the same features.
However he failed to mention that it had an MP3 player built in, and that it also took an SD card which could take many, many songs. So, I loaded a few of my songs onto the SD card and linked the sat nav to my stereo via cable (aux out to aux in).
I then discovered by accident that if my phone is bluetoothed to the sat nav, then I can hear the call through the stereo system. I thought this was great.
If I am travelling long distances I plug headphones into the sat nav and I can play my music stuff as loud as I like without disturbing my wife who is asleep in the passenger seat. That way I can hear the sat nav navigation instructions and red light and speed camera warnings, as well as hearing the phone should anyone ring. Another great feature of the Garmin was if someone sends you a text message on your phone, it can read it out for you!
Neat huh?
Plus my wife can play her music through the stereo system while I’m listening to my stuff through headphones. Sure beats talkin’
I took my sat nav on a flight with me and registered about 900km/h and it is stored in memory as fastest speed. I’ve won a couple of bets with that (nobody paid me though) and when the cops pull me up for speeding I’m going to say I have my speed recorded on the sat nav and show them the 900km/h
That should get me off!!!
I have a Tomtom 720(or 730 always forget which) and not only can it be used as a hands free kit and to play mp3s of the SD card you can also get a ipod cable so you can use the tomtom to change songs(much easier and safer then trying to use the ipod itself while driving. It also has the best FM transmitter built in i have tried, so no need for an AUX jack.
i have a refidex.
no but seriously, all my GPS does is annoy the **** outta me cause it doesn't have the latest maps installed (i bought and downloaded them but havent put them on yet) on the new highway it's hopless lol
