if you put your car on the side of the road for sale....they can get it towed away..
now my point is this....
i have a bunch of ********s who unit back on to mine...now they like to party all the time..
dont give a s**t about keeping my twin 8 yo girls and my girlfriend and your 1 month old baby and me awake all night. i have been fighting this for allmost 2 years now.
now the police are telling me that there is nothing they can do to shut them up.
their bodycorp has told me there is nothing they can do.
so the d##kheads are above the law.....
the best part is they are in their 50s and she a school teacher.
so dont think the queenland police will help....only if there money in it for the state goverment.......

We had this problem and we ended up having to move house. Then we moved and we had neighbours that hated kids and would complain daily to the real estate.. Ring the police on us for the kids 'making noise'. Apparently children were to be seen and not heard.

I don't know how you've stopped yourself from taking matters in to your own hands.. That would of driven me completely mad!

In terms of "fighting it" what have you done? Don't tell me just talking to BC and police is it... what have you actually done that might hold some weight?

What are they doing that keeps everyone awake? What have the residents said when you talk to them about the noise?

We had a noise issue here, ended up using the EPA to get something done. Also found out the landlords number and would call them when the noise was too much (all night - provided all the neighbours with the number too....)
One place we ended up moving, it was a cheap shitty unit block- no way i'd raise a family there. They guy was stabbed and killed just after we moved. Guess he was too noisy.......

my unit is big 3 bedroom.their rear deck back on to the bedroom in my unit we worked it out to be 18 feet from their deck and our rooms.and i can see why i should sell up and move on i worked hard for this place..
the poluice have been called 38 times this year at last count.and that by me alone not by the other units here.bc wont do anything cuse i dont live in the same units as them
epa wont do anything.
he was quite happy to come over and pull the screen door off the girls front door when they told him to shut up.but wont come over when i ask him to...

I'm pretty sure if you go to their real estate agent and put in a few complaints they'll get warnings and then if it keeps up they'll get a notice to leave. Some work colleages of mine used to live in a unit complex and they liked to party hard, make too much noise and they got a few warnings, but they ended up leaving anyway because they're circumstances changed.

As for having your car taken off you for playing your stereo, it would have to be annoying someone, you'd get done for undue noise and attention, which could be classed as a 'hoon' act, on your first offence its impounded for 48 hours and a court appearance, 2nd offence its impounded for 3 months, court appearance etc and 3rd offense its confiscated indefinetly.

And the car for sale being towed away, maybe it doesn't have a RWC or is in the way of something.. I know my town has designated places on the side of the road where private sellers can display their cars.

Anyway... thats beside the point lol I have found that researching your rights on the RTA website will help you a lot. I've had a few problems with previous agents and landlords (none of which were my fault) but read this, print it out and throw it at their agents...

Go to Bunnings/Mitre10/Local Pipe supplier/et al

This is what you get from them:
1 x Gardenhose (the black stuff),
2 x packs of sprayers (those ones that spray 180 degrees) or enough for one every 1m,
Enough connections for putting to tap,
1 x Pump (if you have some spare cash), this will increase the pressure (see below for more on this devious feature - one caveat tho, make sure if you do get a pump that you get pressure fittings too)

This is what you do:

Set it up (while they are away) so that the spray goes as far as their doors (maybe even into the house - this is where the pump works comes into its own, you can arc it up and over then down without people knowing where it comes from)...

When they have a party turn it on full bore...

Firehopses work really well too... (but dont try that one at home)

Are you sure she really is a school teacher? Maybe she just likes dressing as a school teacher. Or maybe your wrong and shes dressing up as a schoolgirl. Only one way to find out.

Complaining to the BC won't get you anywhere.

Its the real estate agent you have to kick up a stink with. I did it with the real estate agent who installed a commission house junkie on behalf of the state housing department into the beachside apartment next to mine and it worked admirably. She was told to behave or get evicted.

The police won't do anything because you already called them 30+ times this year. They are probably sick of it and have your number written down on the ignore list.

You probably have to piss them off now so they realise what its like.

I did it with my neighbour - everytime he had a party he sets up the tables next to my bedroom window on purpose - I heard him laughing about it with his teenage daughter about how hilarious its gonna be to keep me up until all hours.

So what do you know, I found a reason to set up my circular saw the very next morning along the side of my house, which is next to their sleeping quarters. By coincidence, I found a heap of old skirting boards that really needed to be cut that morning, at 7am.

He hasn't pulled the same stunt since, and there have been at least another 2 parties there.
