last night i was in my shed cleaning the stato (planning to drive it to work today) and waiting for my mate to come over. heard someone doing a burnout so naturally i paused and was impressed from what i heard.
few minutes later my mate pulled up, and saw me wiping the my car down. and hes like 'are you serious? down your own street?' i was confused at the time like wtf is he on about?. then he told me that the skids were down my street. so we went for a walk to see. someone with a bit of talent threw 4 loops and skated off.
now the marks i dont care about. but i didnt drive the stato to work today (and dont feel like driving it for the next couple of weeks) fear that cause im the only person with a modified car down my whole street naturally my neighbors will thinks it was me or one of my matess and complain to the cops. what would you do if you were in my position?
I'd do nothing, you didnt do it so I wouldnt bother.

yeah mate dont worry, i know my dad and im pretty sure my neighbours wouldnt care about it. if they caught you in the act id have no doubt. but seriously dont worry. you didnt do it so dont worry. it could look a bit suss but if you showed your neighbours and they realised how much pride and work and how much you love your car. they probably would know you didnt do it.
hmmm im guessing someone thought theyd show u a hoop... bit like the hoops at dandy b ball joint, lol. (which were none of us)
Did your neighbours see anything?
Outside my joint there is a couple of skids. one of the ol ducks that used to live down the street, always thought it was me and always seem to mention it to my old lady., until she relised that i worked night shift, so she shut her mouth.
since ive seen your car a few times now, and its nice etc.. id probably leave it in the shed, but you do have your mate to back you up, and im guessing the neighbours could know the noise difference between your car and another?
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
i live on a dirt street and lots of people do that up my street and im the only young person on the street so wen i go out i get foul looks of every1 but cops know its not me due to i complained about it but the whole street thinks its me i just live with it and ignore them all
Sweet FA. You didn't do it, so nothing to worry about![]()
WTB: VZ Chasers
Like the others have said, you had nothing to do with it so why do anything about it?
Unless the neighbours lie to the cops and say they saw you do it they can't exactly try and pin it on you

If they approach you, thats when you say something. Unless something comes of this particular situation from the cops or the neighbours, then don't stress over it too much.

The VZ is here! About time!
don't alter your normal movements. if you go into hiding people will think it was you.
And you drive a white stato ffs, its hardly a burnout car.
i had a neighbor with a car very similar looking and sounding to mine, i respect my neighbors but he didnt. so the neighbors would see my car driving normally and his like a crazed maniac. i couldnt figure out why my neighbors were giving me daggers when i bought it then it clicked. after a few weeks they realised that there two different cars they started waving again lol.
wouldnt worry about it, done nothing wrong, you got no reason to hide.
Lol, have a read up about Jec's car, its far from a grandpa spec white stato.....
Its not easy especially if you live on a street full of people that have no understanding of the difference between a car enthusiast and a ******** with a nice car, at the end of the day you didn't do anything wrong, If you have been living there a while Im sure the neighbours would know that you wouldn't do something like this.....
Just ignore it. I live next to an intersection that's particularly condusive to burnouts and loops. We get it all the time. All the neighbours know I own the only modified car on the street (they can hear me spannering 'till early hours on weekends) but there's never been any trouble come my way.
Generally if the neighbours know you're not a tool, you won't get blamed. That's all "ACA" bullshit - happens to one in a thousand, and it gets blown out of proportion.

i think you should door-knock each house in your street and explain that you didn't do it.
seriously.... what can you do? nothing. what should you do? nothing.
you didnt do anything so so there's nothing you can do.
but people will always play the blame game.
Just go on as if you didn't even know the marks were there and take on each neighbor as they approach you, I get the looks every time I drive down the street because the young neighbors across the road always get dropped off late and rip it up at 3 or 4 in the morning. If anyone makes a complaint, welcome the cops to investigate and measure the marks and compare tread patterns.
did someone do this just to annoy you andrew? cos your street isnt one id pick to do skids in haha. so random.
same thing happend to me...... sort of. i had a few mates over about 20 of them. music was loud n we were just having drinks.. we hear this shit burnout in my court... the cops come eventually and blame it on us because there are all these modified cars in my driveway.. turns out the bloke across the road had a camera at the top of his drive way just for security purposes when ppl ring his front gate doorbell so the cops grabbed the tape and it ended up being some peice of shit VL which got his car impounded for 3 months ahhahah.
I'ed do a burnout next to it and tell everyone that the one on the right is mine![]()
Really really ... Fighting Temptations
I'd be a bit careful about driving around... I'm not sure how you drive, but if you occasionally have the temptation to give first gear a workout, ignore it for a while.
A mate of mine actually lost his license because he was reported doing burnouts. It was actually him (idiot), but any other 90's white wagon could have been driving around that corner when the rego plate was written down, and the old woman who wrote it down wouldn't have known the difference. If you've got a clean record though, you should be fine.
well nothing happen, one of the neighbors that works with my brother asked if i did it though.
VNexec: got an idea who did it.
