Speaking of T8 and Holden, series champ Jamie Whincup was spotted testing Russell Ingall’s Super Cheap Auto Commodore in Queensland last Thursday. Yeah, old news to you internet forum nerds, but hey… Whincup wore a white suit – possibly a Stig castoff – but his own helmet, making him pretty easy to spot. He reckoned he was just doing what he was told; “They told me to go to Queensland Raceway, terst Paul Morris’s car and wear this suit,” he shrugged.
Whincup, of course, started his Supercar career in a Garry Rogers Commodore, and also driove for Tasman Motorsport before being picked up by T8 for 2006…
