    Default Surfing Huge Wave! Is This A Shark Or Not?

    I've watched a guru surfer tackle a huge wave on youtube.

    About 10 seconds into the video it seems a shark quickly opens its mouth right by the surfer and then zaps away never to be seen again.

    For a lot of Big Game fisherman we've seen this happen to lures; a fish will dart in thinking a lure is food but then decide to break off the attack.

    Have a look if ya like and even if you don't see the shark you'll appreciate the balls this guy has to surf such a huge wave.

    Anyway, here's the image of what I reckon is a shark.

    The link to the video on YouTube is here:

    i looked at the segment from 8-12 about 5 times and i think it's just the rope he's towed with and some artifacting from the compression of the youtube vid.

    still an epic wave. i don't think i'd even wanna be the guy on the jetski

    Thanks for looking;

    I'm still a bit confused; can any one else with good computer skills bring up the image in slow mo so we can see the whole body image of the shark.

    Mate, you could be right I never thought of that; it could be a trick, good suggestion.

    It looks like pixellation due to compression to me. It happens all over the screen all through the video.
