LAST week Dawesville MLA and Deputy Premier Dr Kim Hames said hoon drivers risked losing their vehicles for good for new legislation introduced to State Parliament.
And it has prompted one reader to ask whether or not we live in a town ruled by hoons.
What do you think?
Do we live in a city that is dominated by hoons?
Do you agree with the letter below from one reader?
I feel so sorry for Falcon resident Charlie Gibson.
I mean I really took to heart what he said about being able to get a good sleep at night. I just look at that burnout and see how that would have blasted his hearing aid at 9pm at night and ruined his sleep.
It is just appauling to see young drivers drive so recklessly in city streets.
Burnouts should be made illegal.
Actually anything that makes noise at night should be illegal.
Like those waves down at Falcon beach.
They are noisy as.
I couldn't get to sleep the other night as those hoon waves were pounding the shore line.
I personally have never seen a burnout occur on the streets of Mandurah but from what I hear it sounds like hoon drivers rule the streets.
I don't think I have ever seen a hoon though.
I just can't belive that someone would have done a burnout on that nice clean road of Falcon resident Charlie Gibson.
