I was on that carriage with the big brawl
It was a group of drunk Sudanese-looking guys who were holding the doors open at Richmond and keeping up the whole train, then took offence when a bloke told them to stop.
There were only 5 or 6 others on the train, and they wonder why noone stepped in? Especially when they say they found a knife on one of the guys.
The only good thing that came out of these 6 guys trying to beat up one guy is that they were so crowded around him that noone could get the room to swing a decent punch.

It's just ****ed up though, when I was in highshcool if we had a problem we would take it to the oval and fight it out one on one. All you see these days though is groups of wankers beating the crap out of 1 or 2 poor bastards

Call ME racist, but the sudanese guys I saw the other day were the ones calling the rest of the train "white peices of shit" and the like, saying "our country is racist", then that "it is a black country now"

1st up, don't call it "our" country, if you live here, it is your country too and you need to treat it as such, otherwise you will still be treated as outsiders.

2ndly, there was nothing funnier than the other random african bloke who came and sat next to me when the fight started, then called the wankers in the fight a bunch of "f***ing n*****s".

It is worth remembering that even though it may seem like these groups are certain ethnicities, that they aren't a true representation of everyone from that group. It is the same with commodore drivers, a few always ruin it for the many.

first time i ever encountered this mentality was in Shepparton with the native locals.
Had only just started at the school (say 6 months) and had a disagreement with one of the native school students.
Did the usual "out on the oval and we'll sort it out"
only to get a reply of
"Ill go get my brother to come and smash you"

i stood there with a puzzled look on my faced and asked him
"Why, what has your brother got to do with this"?
In all seriousness, it felt like i had been beaten by a bus - i just couldnt understand what was going on.

I remember when I was in QLD years ago at school, if you got into a fight it was 1 on 1, you settled it and away you went. I moved to Vic and one of my mates got into a brawl with a greek kid and he brought 20 other guys from outside school to the fight. I was amazed. Now it seems to be the norm.

Our govt has lost it's balls years ago when political correctness became the rage. Being 'seen' by the world to be doing the right thing is more important to them than the opinions of everyday australians and plain old common sense.

There's a gang guys here that have been gang bashing innocent guys that are walking alone at night for years (btw they are all well off white Australian guys) they only do it for fun and they film it and make dvds, they have become beyond the law all over this half of the state really. I'm not very happy about it but there seems nothing anyone can do.
