Hi all, picking up the missus from the international terminal on Friday. Not to familiar with the area, will i need to pay park?, or is there a quick pickup zone? I cant leave the work ute, and don't want to park to far away, boss wont be happy to with me if i do.
any suggestion?
lol I don't think so. I will say you have to pay to park. I know you have to at the Domestic one.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
There is a set down and pick up zones that you can stop for like 2 or 3 min to do as it says set down or pick up passengers...
Just found this on the Sydney Airport site - looks like you have to park and pay.
Cheers.International Terminal ( T1)
There are no designated pick-up areas at our International Terminal. Anyone wanting to pick-up arriving passengers at T1 must proceed to the International Car Park.

Actually it has changed as of this month according to the Sydney Airport Site:
*Note T1 = International Terminal and T2= Domestic TerminalThe new T2 passenger pick-up area is located across Keith Smith Avenue. It will provide space for 51 vehicles with a free 10 minute pick-up period. Drivers will be able to leave their vehicles unattended.
Get your $7 dollars ready and park up. Unless your Mrs is waiting you WILL get moved on.
Don't think about going round to the departures and waiting there as they'll hit you with a massive fine if they catch you.
It's a load of crap, they've made it virtually impossible to to pick someone up for free now.![]()
Yeah, every time I've picked someone up from Sydney airport, I've arranged to be there about half an hour lateThat way they're always there when I roll through.
But then again, there's usually so much traffic you get there halfa late anyway!![]()

According the their website, there is no longer a pick up area for international passengers at Sydney airport. This is a brand new change this month.
Only pick up zone is a new 10 minute one for domestic passengers, where you can leave your car. However if you are more than 10 minutes you are charged when you leave.
Anyone ever sat in the departure lounge in a international terminal for a day?. Never seen such a drama in my life!. Every 10 minutes there's a couple crying and sharing their last kiss goodbye :S
We use the departures for pick-up as well, get 10 mins there for drop-offs. See if that works.
yeh she can walk, im not leaving the Ute, I'll have $4000 worth of brand spanking new mobile scaffold strapped on top.
TVR-161 might have the right idea here.
thanks all!
