    Default Step down transformers

    hi, looking at a breaker demolition hammer from america, 115volts, 13.9amps?

    would this work ok with a stepdown transformer or would it run slow?

    i know SFA about this sorta stuff

    lol I swear im a brunette, not blonde but when I saw this title I thought it must be a for a new transformers movie

    As long as you get a quality transformer and not some cheap junk then yes, this will work exactly as needed. If you buy the good step down transformers then you will get the device operating at exactly the speed you need.

    You will need to look for a 1600Watt or greater Step Down Transformer though to provide 13.9 Amps. I would suggest more than 1600 Watts though.

    I would be guessing that the hammer would be a costly item yeah?
    If so i would be spending a bit of the money you saved getting it from the states and invest in a high quality transformer. In my opinion I would be contacting a transformer company and getting a quote on a step down transformerexactly for your needs.

    thanks for the reply's. yeah i think i'll bail on the idea, $1200 from the u.s, then i'll have to source a s/d trans....... Or $2700 from here, 50% cruddy ruddy rebate, no big box following me around, and no problems from workcover!

    hmm.. 2009's newest blockbuster cinema release - Revenge of the Step Down Transformers?
