ACCC orders Coles to axe 40 cent petrol discount

What a totally ignorant view by the ACCC. On the one hand they say they are helping the motorists by keeping a watch on fuel prices but on the other hand, when a real saving can be made they knock it on the head.

They claim they are there to help us motorists, but can anyone honestly tell me what they have done so far???? The guy in charge is getting paid 300k ... for what??
The other week they were talking about why we pay upto 15c more for Premium when it only cost an extra 5c or so to refine

Ignorant? I bet you'd think it was really ignorant if you owned an independant petrol station.
It works like this:

Coles dishes out super cheap petrol
Small independants go bust in the process
Coles can then hack up the prices when no competition is left.

probably not so much the case with this 40c discount, but didn't some research show that coles build the 4c into their fuel prices anyway, so the docket saving doesn't really benefit you, you just get screwed if you don't use it.
