    Default Four pot

    hey

whats a good east-west mounting turbo 4 pot from about 1.3-1.8??

    thanks

also, i dont want any sh!t about the four potness. its for a mini that needs a decent engine AND back seats (where a v8 would go if i wanted one). i want it in the engine bay

i think a na motor would be more fun in such a nimble little car opposed to turbo motors. i'd go the integra type r motor, would be nuts!

My mate has an older all motor mini. B18C5 Type R powered. Spins the wheels in nearly all the gears lol

As for reliability he has no problems with it.

another mate has a turbo k24 with 714fwhp daily driven lol

Toyota starlet or a charade turbo motors are your best bet - has been proven to fit, you can even buy a subframe to fit the starlet motor, Check AUSMINI forums for more info

it would probably be cheaper to buy the motor you want.

i can get you plenty of em' you wanna pay though? det's come in GTiR pulsars as mentioned, and i think the blue birds came out with them east west too, but dont know 100% bout that one.

anyway, TBH SR's are not a small engine once you bolt on all the bells and whistles, i would be looking more at the starlet turbo as someone has already mentioned. itll fit much better, they still pack a punch, and they sound f'ing brilliant with a screamer pipe

you gotta remember, you gotta get a motor AND transmission AND steering all in a little engine bay. you can do it. but what a head f...k

YouTube - Toyota starlet 13b turbo

Thats a peripheral ported 13b turbo. Rotaries are nuts, I miss my rx2 sooo much, being able to fry the tyres at 120 km/h in a 1.3 litre engine was great fun.

There is a guy in Britain currently doing a 13b turbo conversion on a mini.
