hey
how come SM have been showing alot of yank cars lately? like in the October 2009 issue the f100 was a yank?? isnt it meant to be an aussie mag??
what are your thoughts on it??
this is the bit where you say "I WANT MORE COMMODORES IN THAT MAG"
um buy ****************? or what ever its called. street machine is an aussie mag but hey who cares there tough cars all over the world, that F100 is a perfect example as is actually a street machine alot of the cars in there are trailered everywhere
"The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven."
apparently wasting my time with 97 cubic inches
milk doesnt come in 1.6 litres
my geminis
street machine is just an aussie mag featuring street driven cars (so called) they have allways featured international show cars etc. it's like how street commodore did a story on the sema show in the states even tho there's no commodores at the show.
If its aSTREET MACHINE to me thats a older car so no probs in featuring yank cars
Hey, atleast they didn't feature a Falcon and have the heading 'FALCON UNREAL!!' lol.
haha +1 for that Troy ^^^
You want commodores buy street commodores, lol.
Have a look at some of the SM mags going back to the 70's and you will find yank cars featured in them .It lets you see what trends are happening overseas
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
i buy both. and love them both. i love how SC have been putting in 2 extra mags as well..
I think a lot of people are reading too much into the mag title. Street machine have been renowned for the wildest customs built, who cares if they are street registered or not. They are cars with so much much work done to them that the odd drive every few months is all they are used for anyway, with $30000+ paint jobs, I wouldn't be driving them much either. If they were normal everyday cars with a few legal mods, no one who buy tjhe magazine at all. They would be saying thats shit, my mates car has more done to it than that.
i would much prefer it if they were aussie and registered. you can still get a car registered with a $3 billion paint job.
i mean look at ATRISK (VIC), its a hugely modified car, but still registered.
Yeah right a straight methanol car being registered! I cant see that happening even in Victoria.
Its a great car but I would love to see that go through the pits, it would be deregisterd quicker than it does a quarter mile.
LOL, a drag/race/burnout car with a set of plates hanging off it? Thats not a registered car mate. First drive down the street and that would be off the road for good.....Don't get me wrong, great car, but it's not even close to being a "street" car.
I think street machine is going down a bit, but i'm going against the grain here, too many late model/sedate cars. I mean, take a look at this month, how does a late model Monaro make the cover? The blown XT should have been on the cover....![]()
yeh well, its still a late model Monaro....If i wanted to read about Commodores, i'd buy Street Commodores. I still reckon there was a car in this months issue that was more worthy of the front cover.
To be brutally honest, if i wasn't a subscriber, i wouldn't have bought this months issue based on the cover car alone....
i dont really care whats on the front. i just look at the contents..
