Well done to everyone trying to keep the thread on track with their
slant on the absurdities of our "PC generation".
It's a ridiculous minefield that we have designed for ourselves.
If only the rules were made for the reasonable majority and not there to enforce
restrictions upon the few fools that exist.

Unfortunately the internet elevates all to a common datum; regardless of prejudice
and how much sunlight reflects off the back their neck.
It would be obvious to those who read all this thread anyone with overt racist views,
but the obscure ones might slip by * kudos on the "porch monkeys"...

Yep. They sure do.
Its called Harmony and Balance, another PC Idea dreamed up
to ensure people that haven't had the same opportunities are looked favorably
upon now to establish equity.
And they get in while they can. Handicapped drivers, for example, don't complain
when they are given special close access to a shop.
It can be seen now in regard to employment. A man with the same qualifications may miss out on the job
if the company requires a greater ratio of females.
Or the lowering of the standards for Police to accommodate those who previously didn't make it.
It might mean we now have a force that "measure up". But it is not sexist, it is harmony and balance.

Surely those in receipt of such even if by osmosis, could show empathy for others.

just to throw in here, regarding the 'baa baa rainbow sheep' issue, my kids go to the same daycare my niece did.
when my niece was there, they changed 'black sheep' to 'rainbow sheep' which confused some, infuriated others and the rest just sat back laughing.
well, my 2 year old is learning BLACK sheep and not from me. I guess all is not lost. oh, and a kid in his 'class' is of african (sudanese i think) descent

Im Sorry but I cant be the only one who thinks that pollitical correctness is really getting beyond a joke. For those of you who didnt watch Today Tonight, The Coles brand biscuit "Creole Creme" has ben labeled offensive due to the origins and definition of the word "Creole"

With only one complaint in the three year shelf life of the product Coles is changing the name and packaging. They also had a go at Redskins, Coon cheese and some eskimo snack. Im sure we all still remember the world labeling us as racists due to the Hey Hey skit, which I personally think was another case of political correctness gone mad. I for one am Getting tired of all this political correctness, whats your opinion?

I'm sick of hearing about all this racist crap.

Everyone is inherently racist to some degree, intentional or not.

I can't believe someone arced up over the abos sniffing petrol and sitting under trees getting pissed comment. Come up to Newman in WA and you will see it everyday. You can't even walk across the street to the shopping centre without being accosted and then abused when you refuse to give them any money.

I think a severe case of hardening up is needed.
