To the OP, I'm guessing around $500 - $600, if not more to weld it back up/panel beat it...

Any day you walk out of a panel beaters for les than that is a good day.

BTW, I had a shitty day on Saturday, started out - taking the bikes out, get out there teach my missus and next door neighbour to use their new bikes, clutch, gears etc, grab mine try to start it and foul a plug - this never happens...
So after 5 hours, or more of watching everyone ride around with no joy for me, I jump on the missus's bike for a quick thrash, chain comes off...
On the drive home with a trailer full of bikes/boot full of gear, a cop decides its a good time to defect me...

It musta been the weekend. Sorry to hear I wasn't the only one that should've stayed in bed recently... lol,

Last thing i'd do if i was angry would be go for a drive. I'd go for a long long walk. Then by the time i got home, i'd be too tired to be angry and just sleep it off.

I had a good day. Asian lady (note, woman driver) gave me some white paint on my rear bar, and $150. Cheers for the new HD (My rear skirt that hasn't been fitted will cover most of the white paint, so wont even have to get it repainted, score)

Sorry to hear about it mate, but it brings back memories.I did exactly the same thing to my VC commodore about 10 years ago.I was so p1ssed off leaving home in the morning for work that I scrapped the L/H quarter panel on the steel gate hinges while reversing out of my drive way.Needless to say my blood pressure soared through the roof.

do you think about what you say or just open your mouth without thinking?
seriously, what type of a comment is that.

    to the op
id say prob anywhere from 600 upto about the 1200 mark for a repair on that.
is it worth you claiming on insurance?

It can happen to anyone, Cobez is dead right, it's a bad state to be driving in, which is why it happened.

    Goodluck with the repair.
