Hey
i was looking at going on the cheap paint wise for my car and i was thinking, has anyone ever got TAFE to paint your car, you know, as a tester. i dont expect brilliant results but do you think its a good idea??
thanks
one of the TAS teachers at school told me to get in touch with them and ask if they can spray (and panel beat if im lucky) my car.. aka.. use it as a guinea pig..
its just i want to be there so they don't fu** anything up
I have had a few cars painted that way years back. For solid colors it's fine - metallics etc it's a bit hit/miss. Usually you need to "know" somebody to get it done but once again that varies from TAFE to tafe.

hey
all i want done is to have the car painted alpine white and maybe fix that crappy smash dent (which i just found out was caused by 3 trees and a telegraph pole) and im short on money.
yesterday i got accepted into a 240 hour automotive (engines) course as a subject at school so i might get in contact with one of the local TAFE's that do it, unfortunately my TAFE (Blacktown) do engines only..
Going to Blacktown eh? You'll like the white VK speedway car they have sitting inside the workshop then![]()
Hey..
i did a 5 day course there and loved it so im doing it as a T-VET course there for year 11 and 12..
do you go there??
thanks
Yeah I go Tuesdays..decent place, my class is full of failures but lol.
lol.. you wouldnt know a guy named will dalziel, we all call him fishi, he's an apprentice greaser..
what are the T-VET courses like there?? do you think it would be a decent place to do a engine swap??
Nah can't say I know him..all the kids who have come through from local schools to do like a days learning have been complete dero's/drop outs who won't last long in the trade at all lol...
And what do you mean would it be a good place to do an engine swap? If you think by just becomming an apprentice you can swap your engine at tafe, you joking right?
