    How much money do you reckon i'd get for an old water tank?

    it's about 1.5 high and 1.5 in diameter.

    Probably nothing...or next to nothing, we were only getting $40-50 for a car body loaded up with steel a few months ago

    Not very sure about aluminium, I only bother with precious metals like platinum...$33/gram ftw

    I spent 5 hours stripping copper wire, Got something like 50c per KG.

    i use to aquire titanium scrappers wouldnt touch it also duplex stainless which is more exspensive than tit scrap still wouldnt touch it i use to get 8 dollars a kilo for copper, its now down to 3.5 a kilo

    Screwed.. my missus old man works at a scrap yard and said they are paying 5 bucks a kilo for good, clean copper.

    EDIT: This was correct as of Saturday night too.

    aye troy it depends how well he cleaned it. the unenvironmental way is petrol and a match then clean with water. maybe it wasnt very clean

    Straight out of the cable sheath it should be perfectly clean though
