    Default No more Rove

Well last night Rove McManus said live on his show that it was going to be the last one ever, kind of a shock for me as i've watched it since i was like 10 years old.

Anyone else watch the show? There was no signs or anything that it was the last he said it then and there

I used to love watching rove but in the last year, it was just not good anymore. They used to do some cool things on the show, i'm talking about 3-4 years ago.

I saw the bit where he announced it was time to call it quits... Good on him, channel 9 wrote him off in the early years and ten years later he is one of Australia's most well known TV personalities.

I think it is a good thing he has decided to call it quits now on a high, as opposed to falling from grace and losing popularity prior to getting axed in years to come (how long that would have been who knows).

I am sure it won’t be the last we see of Rove on TV though.

Woohoo, 1 less crappy show on the airways, now if we can only can the morning news rubbish shows, the current affairs rubbish, TV could almost be worth watching.

He wasn't that funny, but easily the funniest on the show. Will be interesting to see what crap they come up with to replace it.

And he still has Roving Enterprises so no doubt he's still going to be making a bucketload of money from other productions.

About time really. He was funny about 2 or 3 years ago, but he started to really go down hill. Now its just not funny at all. We can only hope the 7pm project follows suit.

My favourite part of the show was when they did "WHAT THE".

When they got rid of it i didn't watch it as much, was flicking through channels last night and thought ey ill watch Rove, turns out it was the last one.

I used to watch Rove religiously for the first 4 or 5 odd years but lost interest the last 5 odd years.

I was in Sydney CBD the day he got married to Belinda and saw/met some of his attendee's like Tripod and Cal Wilson.

I reckon 10 years is a good run and he left on a high. In traditional Rove style he didnt do it traditionally either by dragging it out, he just said heres whats happening.

Theres roumers now he'll be on breakfast radio, he's not a bad announcer either, but see what happens with that I guess.

Never watched it for more than a few mins at any one time. BUT!... The

Funniest bit I seen was when (Woodly from Lano and Woodly fame) was sitting on the couch and just gets up and scoops 2 handfulls of M&M's and chucked em in the air.

I never really sat down and watched a whole ep, but it was one of those thing that was always on at a certain time, u could flick to it for light entertainment. May not have been awesome all the time, but its probably better than anythign else in its timeslot

The static on channel 24 was quite entertaining in comparison

Take this however you want, but I think the change some of you refer to might have happened when his wife died, hard to be the funny guy when you have lost somone like that.

Anyone remember when Nova was in it's infancy and they did, wait for it, "Saturday morning Rove" i've always beena fan of Rove and will keep an eye out for his new projects.

Twice I have been in a position where I have stared at this show, once in accident and emergency, another time in someone else's home who had it on.

The man is about as funny as cup of warm sick!!!!

But then I don't watch TV so I couldn't careless if his show was on or not.

I was pretty pissed off. It was the only show I watch on TV apart from like Family guy, and its now gone Although the quality had gone down in the previous years, I still liked it.
